These Terms govern your use of LalaScript, operated by LalaScript Inc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Beta service

LalaScript is provided as a beta, "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Features may change, break, or be removed, and output may contain errors. Don't rely on it for anything critical. Accuracy is not guaranteed and depends heavily on the file you upload: clean exports from notation software read best, while photos, photocopies, faint scans and handwritten pages read worse.

2. Your account and eligibility

You're responsible for your account, for keeping your login secure, and for activity that happens under it. You must provide accurate information. LalaScript is a general-audience product and is not directed to children: you must be at least 13 years old to use it, and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

3. Your content and the rights you give us

You keep ownership of the sheet music you upload and the arrangements you create. You grant LalaScript a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and modify that content as needed to operate the service for you, and to use the content, your prompts, and your edits and corrections to operate, improve, develop, train, and evaluate LalaScript's products and technology, including machine-learning models. This license continues for content retained in our systems even after you stop using the service, unless you ask us to delete it.

4. Your responsibilities about what you upload

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you upload, and that uploading it and having us process it does not infringe anyone's rights. You are responsible for your use of any output. Don't upload content you have no right to use, and don't use LalaScript to infringe copyright.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no breaking or overloading it, no reverse engineering, no unlawful, infringing, or harmful use, and no attempts to access other users' data.

6. Copyright and takedowns

If you believe content on LalaScript infringes your copyright, contact us at [email protected] with enough detail to identify the work, and we'll respond, including removing infringing content where appropriate.

7. Payments

Some features of LalaScript are paid. Your account includes a limited number of free generations. Beyond that, you can buy credit packs; one credit starts a new piece or adds five more edits to an existing piece (every piece already includes five edits at no charge). Credits are one-time purchases, are added to your account, and do not expire. We do not currently offer subscriptions, so you are only charged when you choose to buy a pack, and the total price is shown before you confirm. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. When you buy a pack you are asking us to add the credits to your account straight away, and you agree that we start supplying them immediately; where a statutory cancellation period would otherwise apply to a digital purchase, that request ends it. Because the credits are delivered the moment you pay, purchases are generally non-refundable, and a result you are unhappy with is not by itself a refund: what a credit buys is a piece of work by the engine, and how good that is depends on the file you give it, as section 2 explains. That said, we are a small team and we would far rather hear from you than not. If something went wrong, or the result was not what you hoped for, email us at [email protected] and we will read it and do what we can. Any refund is ours to give case by case, not something these Terms promise. None of this limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live that cannot be limited by agreement. We may change prices or what each pack includes, but changes never affect credits you have already purchased.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, LalaScript disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months or US$100.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify LalaScript against claims arising from content you upload or your misuse of the service.

10. Termination

You can stop using LalaScript at any time, and you can delete your account yourself from your account page. For your protection, account deletion is confirmed through a link we send to your account email; nothing is deleted until you confirm it. Updated 2026-09-11: Deleting your account removes your account and everything that identifies you. Pieces and uploaded files are kept in anonymised form. If you want those removed as well, email us before you delete your account. Residual copies in encrypted backups expire within 14 days. You can also request deletion by emailing us. We may suspend or end access for violations of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
